Learn how to perform pediatric neurosonography and pulmonary sonography with a focus on neonates and infants. This program provides a comprehensive overview of neuroanatomy in preterm and term infants, along with clinical indications, imaging techniques, and commonly encountered pathologic conditions. In addition, gain expertise in evaluating pediatric patients with normal and pathologic pulmonary conditions. Review relevant anatomy and sonographic characteristics of respiratory disorders such as pneumonia, pleural effusion, pneumothorax, atelectasis, transient tachypnea, meconium aspiration syndrome, respiratory distress syndrome, bronchiolitis, and bronchopulmonary dysplasia. Develop the cognitive task awareness and visuospatial skills necessary to effectively perform sonographic examinations of the pediatric brain and respiratory system.
