What to Expect
No prior ultrasound experience is required to begin this course. You'll start with ultrasound fundamentals, then move on to focused education for your specific area of practice.
Once you’ve begun using POCUS in a clinical setting, you can begin the final step: certification.
To be eligible for PCA certification, you must:
- Be a licensed healthcare professional in good standing, actively practicing in a relevant clinical setting
- Attestation to the performance of and participation in the interpretation of all of the following POCUS cases within the last two (2) years.
20 Abdominal Trauma cases
30 Cardiac cases
20 Lung cases
20 MSK Soft Tissue cases
